Kelsey Ford (She/Her) is a Canadian artist and printmaker working out of Saskatoon, SK - Treaty 6 Territory. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts with a minor in French from the University of Saskatchewan (2019). Kelsey works primarily in serigraphy, but also enjoys working with textiles to create mixed media pieces and larger installations. Kelsey’s work often amalgamates repurposed or used materials with more modern mediums through collage techniques. By combining traditional and modern structures Ford hopes to draw new parallels and comparisons between past and present.
Recently Kelsey has turned her attention to community programming in the arts. She was a previous Board Member for PAVED Arts and currently Chairs SK Printmakers Board as well as Nuit Blanche Saskatoon where she is entering her 6th-year. Kelsey has worked as the Artist in Residence for the Saskatoon Fringe Festival, where she organizes free art workshops pre-festival with different non-profit organizations to create a larger installation that is showcased during the 10 days of the Fringe.
Kelsey believes strongly in the power of collaboration. Working also as a founding member in Biofeedback Collective, she and her fellow collective members, Emily Zdunich and Lauren Warrington, collaborated with The Gallery / art placement on a year-and-a-half long project titled: The Community Project.
